A growing number of older Australian’s are being supported to remain independent in their homes. The workforce of staff and volunteers is also growing to enable this.
With a mobile aged and disability workforce, now more than ever it is essential that all workers are aware of their responsibilities under the Work, Health and Safety Act 2011 and are able to assess risk and implement controls.
All workers need to be aware of safety behaviours from the initial planning for a home visit all the way through to after the visit.
