Justice Of The Peace

 

Canterbury City Community Centre Inc can make available a Justice of the Peace whose functions under the Justices of the Peace Act 2002, are to:

 

  • administer oath declarations or affidavits, and taking statutory declarations and affirmations principally under the Oaths Act 1900;
  • witness signatures; and
  • attest and certify documents.

It is a voluntary service and an appointment is essential. Appointments can be made during the following times by phoning the Centre on 9750 9344:

Mondays:         10.00am to 12.00 noon
Wednesdays:   1.00 pm to 2.00 pm
Fridays :          10.00am to 12.00 noon
