The 4cs Friendship Group is funded under the Home and Community Care (HACC) program and is available to residents of the Canterbury Local Government Area.
The aim of this program is to provide support, social contact, and activities for the aged and people with disabilities, thus avoiding isolation for these people while at the same time provide respite for their carers.
The Centre Based Day Care program is run every Thursday, from 9.30 am to 2.00 pm, and consists of:
- Door-to-door transport for 20 people. Some people make their own way
- Morning tea and a light lunch
- Gentle Exercise
- Monthly Guest Speakers
- Bingo, cards, dominoes, and various other fun activities
- Two Monthly outings of interest
- Information to assist you to live independently in your home.
A fee of $3.00 is charged for morning tea and lunch. Transport fee is $3.00. The cost of outings varies.

Day Care With a Difference
This group meets on the first and third Tuesday of each month and is for people who like to do light wood work and craft activities. Door to door transport, morning tea and a light lunch is provided. The group runs from 10.00am to 1.30 pm. A small contribution is requested.
